The Hang Seng Index opened 134 points lower at 17,663 points. In the early morning, it fell 174 points to 17,624 points. In the afternoon, it turned from falling to rising. It rose 75 points or 0.43% to 17,874 points for the whole day, rising for two consecutive days; the technology index fell 1 point or 0.05%, reported at 3,501 points. Main board transaction volume was HK$91.92 billion. 


The U.S. stock market has recently rebounded to near historical highs. The wait-and-see atmosphere in the market is getting stronger, and the market situation has no clear direction. The three major U.S. stock indexes developed individually overnight. As for the Hong Kong stock market, it has continued to rebound since August and has risen above the extended downward trajectory in May. However, the transaction volume has not been consistent, reflecting a lack of momentum. If the Hang Seng Index fails to stabilize the 50-DMA (17,541), the market outlook may have a chance to decline again. It is expected that Hong Kong stocks are still not out of the crisis period, so it is not advisable to rush into the market.


 European stock markets had mixed developments, with British and German stocks rising 0.21% and 0.35% respectively, while French stocks fell 0.32%.


 U.S. stocks traded in tight territory and stabilized repeatedly on Tuesday, with the Dow hitting a new closing high for the second consecutive day. The Dow fell as much as 131 points during the session, reaching a low of 41,109 points. The S&P 500 once rose 0.26%, and the Nasdaq rose as much as 0.36%.


 At the close of the U.S. market, the Dow rose slightly by 9 points to 41,250 points; the S&P 500 rose 9 points, or 0.16%, to 5,625 points; and the Nasdaq rose 29 points, or 0.16%, to 17,754 points. The U.S. exchange rate index once fell 0.34% to 100.51; the euro rebounded 0.27% to $1.1193; the yen rose 0.42% to 143.92 per dollar.


 Typhoon No. 10 "Shanshan", which has increased in intensity, is turning around. It is expected to hit the Kyushu region today (28th) and then move northward through the Japanese archipelago. The time and scope of its impact on Japan may be extended.

The Hang Seng Index opened 181 points lower at 25,733, and once plunged 275 points to a low of 25,639, before recovering its losses, rising as much as 89 points to 26,004. It closed the day up 62 points, or 0.24%, at 25,978; the Tech Index rose 36 points, or 0.75%, to 4,902. Total market turnover was HK$236.7 billion. For the week, the Hang Seng Index fell 182 points, or 0.69%. Hong Kong stocks rebounded on Friday but failed to recover the 26,000-point mark. The Hang Seng Index broke through the descending channel earlier this month with an upward gap (25,254 to 25,668).
